THUR | MAR 28 | 7:00 PM | RISING TIDE PERFORMANCE | CENTRAL PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH (201 Washington Street SW, Atlanta, Georgia | Central Presbyterian Church, Columbia Theological Seminary, and Georgia Interfaith Power & Light (GIPL) are proud to bring The Crossroads Project: Rising Tide to Atlanta on March 28, 2019. Rising Tide is a collaborative performance created by the Fry Street Quartet with climate physicist Dr. Robert Davies of the Crossroads Project. This evocative performance about global sustainability weaves art and science together through music, prose, and stunning visual imagery — photographs by renowned environmental photographer Garth Lenz and paintings by Rebecca Allan and the quartet’s commission of Rising Tide by American composer Laura Kaminsky. FRI & SAT | MAR 29 & 30 | CHRISTIANITY AND WHITE SUPREMACY: HERESY AND HOPE | PRINCETON UNIVERSITY | The Office of Religious Life on Christianity invites to this conference people from every experience and background whose work, formally or informally, combats the grip that white supremacy has on the church and on American society in general. There is no registration fee. All meals during the conference (Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast and lunch) will be covered by the organizers. MONDAY MEDITATION | HARRINGTON CENTER BOARD ROOM | 7:30 - 8:00 AM | A time of silence, stillness and restoration. Meditation is a spiritual practice where one or more participants create a space to "be still." Why meditate? Meditation can bring a greater sense of peace and well being. Meditation is an offering of (and for) ourselves, in mind, body and spirit. It is a place where we come to just "be" in the quiet stillness of God's presence. Come meditate every Monday when classes are in session !
